Victorian sterling silver stamp case. A beautiful example of a silver stamp case in the shape of an envelope. This little stamp case has an etching on the front and back of the case and opens to store the stamps. The case has a suspension loop used to be displayed on a chain. The golden age of these cases is said to be between 1890 and 1914. The Victorian designers made many different types and patterns. This is a lovely example and could be worn on a chain or used for its original purpose on a desk. The charm measures 3.5cm, from the top of the ring, by 2.5 cm. The charm is in excellent vintage condition.
